Lassen – which translates to let it, as to whether be, happen, or go – concentrates on femininity which, especially by Western conceptions, accumulates in the female breast. Different sizes,
different forms, all perfect in their own way form part of this convolute of various things which are gathered in a room with clean, white walls.
This interior is about the spontaneous and unexpected. It displays different things that simply happened to be there, and by assembling them together I let them fuse; it’s a back and forth between the whole and its parts, creating a new image each time. Everything about this assemblage was arbitrary and unexpected, even for me. Going through a process of randomness I want to reflect the unpredictable, incorporating dried orange and pomelo skin found in the garbage that suddenly become a part of this total work of art.
